FAQs

Have Questions ? We’re here to help

  • Run Time vs Charge Time

The Range Picker collects balls for 6 hours before it automatically returns to the charging station. It charges for 2 hours, then gets right back to work.

    24 Hour Day Breakdown:

    Run Time: 18 hours

    Charge Time: 6 hours

  • Does the Range Picker automatically discharge balls?
Yes. The Range Picker holds up to 1,000 balls. When it reaches capacity, (based on weight) the autonomous robot returns to The Bridge or Drop Pit to discharge balls.
  • The Bridge vs The Drop Pit - What's the difference?

The Bridge - The Range Picker automatically drives up the ramp of The Bridge and dumps the balls through grates into crates.

    Installation: Above ground

Power: No power needed for The Bridge, the charging station needs power

    Ball Load: 6,000-12,000

    Time Saved: 5 labor hours

Staff Requirement: Collect the filled crates, wash balls and return them into circulation

The Drop Pit - The Range Picker automatically drives over The Drop Pit and discharges the balls through grates. The balls are washed on the spot. The clean balls get vacuumed back to the dispenser or ball hopper returning into circulation.

    Installation: Underground

Power: Requires 110v power, water, drainage to the Drop-Pit. Requires 220v at the dispenser/hopper for the control board and vacuum.

Ball Load: More than you'll ever need! Washer can handle 30,000 balls per hour.

    Time Saved: 8 labor hours

    Staff Requirement: None

  • Does the equipment come with warranty?
The Range Picker comes with a one year warranty and the battery is covered under a four year warranty.
  • What happens if The Range Picker unit stops working?

The Range Picker is about efficiency and round the clock work, so at 3mph there is a lot less unnecessary wear and tear on the drive system and picking system than let's say the old-school vehicles used to collect balls on the golf range. The Range Picker won't be gunning it down the range at 15 MPH to see if it can shave time off it's last record.

In the rare case that a part needs to be replaced, we do keep spare parts in-house, so they can easily be shipped anywhere in the US.

OnPar Automation handles support for the Range Picker. Simply call us at:

    720-800-0190 |  Extension 3

We will be able to log into your robot remotely and diagnose any issues. If spare parts are needed, we can usually send them out the next business day.
